Welcome to Presidential Suites by Lifestyles. These are the Presidential Suites located in Cortecito/ Punta Cana. This is an all inclusive resort, hidden with in a quaint little town filled with friendly local people. There are grocery stores with in walking distance, as well as shops filled with local treasures.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: This exclusive suites resort is a compilation of six modern 4-story

high-rise and two 3-level buildings set amongst the shoreline of Cortecito. The resort was developed as a

get-a-way retreat for those who enjoy a quiet environment while surrounded by luxurious services and amenities. The resort boasts two free-form pools that wind among the various accommodations and balconies.

Oceanview suites are surrounded by lush tropical gardens and close by you can find an exclusive slice of heaven we call Nirvana Beach. PuntaCana has become a top destination spot as the area offers perfect weather year-round.

El Capítan Cook Restaurant

(Carretera Cortecito,  809-552-0645) $$$$. With its house specialty of grilled seafood and lobster platter for two – which includes a fabulous salad, dessert, and cocktail for RD $1,000 ($35 u.s) – this restaurant is wildly popular. Capítan Cook does a bustling business with boatloads and busloads of group tours from the all inclusives in Punta Cana/Bávaro, so be prepared for a wait. Reservations are recommended.

Langosta del Caribe Restaurant

(Carretera Cortecito,  809-552-0774) $$-$$$. If the scene – or the wait – gets to be too much at Capítan Cook’s, this is a nice alternative right down the street (or beach, if approaching from the water). The menu here features similar fresh seafood and grilled lobster, although the service staff isn’t nearly as animated as that at Capitan Cook. For a low-key lunch, this is a fine choice.

Flamboyán

(Carretera Cortecito,  809-552-0639) $$. This pleasant restaurant occupies a front-porch setting at the Cortecito Inn  Specializing in fresh seafood, it serves three-course dinners for less than US $10. A little band sometimes gets customers dancing during dinner.

Local Night Life

Disco Mangú at the Occidental Grand Flamenco Punta Cana Hotel is the place in Punta Cana for nightlife. If you’re a woman traveling alone or with girlfriends, you can expect an inevitable invitation from a local guy to take you there. The dance floor is always jammed with vacationers and locals getting down to American and European tunes as well as Latin and reggae beats. The super-size television screen is a hit with the sports-loving crowd. Cover charge is US $10 for non-guests.

Karaya Club features a colorful Vegas-type show, Caribe Caliente, set inside a cave and touting famous performers from the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Cuba. The action starts at 9:45 pm, Thursday through Monday. Tickets are US $45.

Jelly Fish (in Bávaro next to the Meliá Tropical employee entrance,  809-623-0231) is where Punta Cana/Bávaro hotel staff members go to chill out. There is no merenque or bachata in sight here, just the lucid tones of down-tempo lounge music in a very contemporary setting. The two-story building combines an excellent seafood restaurant on the first floor (you might want to check it out if you become tired of the buffets at your all-inclusive) with an old fishing boat serving as a deck over the beach. The top floor offers hammocks and comfortable sofas for quiet conversation. You can walk to Jelly Fish along the beach from several resorts.

News (behind Bávaro Princess Tower, Bávaro). Formerly Areito (which meant Dance of the Gods in Taino), with indigenous artifacts and cultural objects to match, News remains one of the hottest dance spots in Bávaro and Punta Cana – and bartenders still perform fire-eating feats of ceremonial proportions. Women enter free, and there are nightly drink specials. Hours are 11 pm to 4 am, except Mondays

Soles Chill Out Bar (no phone) is a bare-bones but hip beach bar on Playa Bávaro. As the DJ plays mellow tunes, the youthful patrons play beach volleyball or sit around being cool.
